CLUB SOCIAL EVENTS
All of our Events are posted in our Events Diary, which you can access from the bottom of the page or from the right sidebar. If fees are payable to attend the event, the amount for members and guest will be recorded on the event and tickets can be purchased from the Members Bar.
There are lots of events for our members to take part in as we try to cater for all ages and tastes. We hold a weekly Club Social on Fridays where our Bottle and Voucher raffles are drawn plus our popular 'Open The Box'.
Open The Box
To enter this you purchase a ticket and if your ticket is drawn you get the chance to chose a key to see if you can Open the Box! If the box is not opened the amount that has accumulated in there rolls over to the following week. The keys decrease to a minimum of three as the cash prize grows - but don't despair if you do not pick the correct key, a proportion of the ticket sales each week is set aside as a cash prize for the lucky winner.
Organised by our Social Secretary, there are various trips for members to join in with. In the past there has been trips to the races, the theatre and places of interest.
Darts / Snooker / Pool / Dominoes
The club members participate in various leagues and friendlys as well as club competitions.
Held fortnightly on a Sunday, these are held in the Members Bar and are extremely popular and well attended.
Held weekly on a Wednesday night it's 'Eyes Down' in the Middlesex Lounge. Guests are welcome, but only if accompanied and signed in by a member.
Indoor Games / Afternoon Socials / Music Nights
Organised by our Social Secretary, these fun events are held regularly and are a great way to get to meet other members, especially of you new to the Club.
Children's Christmas Party
Organised by the Club Committee is the annual Children's Christmas Party with an entertainer, party food, fun, games, music and dancing and of course a visit from Santa with an overfilling sack for all of the children. Members are asked to book ahead and a small fee is charged for each child to help cover the costs, adults can attend free to keep an eye on their little ones although due to the popularity of the event, we may restrict the amount of adults in the room with the children to ensure they have enough room to run about and have fun. There is a jar on the Members Bar for donations throughout the year to further help with the funding of the party.
